After previously knowing each other through Sam's sister, Kate, we reconnected at the gym I was working at one summer. He quickly began to show interest in me and his buddy, Ely, made it quite apparent. Every day, Ely would walk into the gym and pester me into hanging out with Sam. He tried convincing me to either workout with him or go to church with him. However, Ely's constant nudging and Sam's obvious interest in me freaked me out. So naturally, I friend-zoned him. But that didn't last long. We stayed in contact and shortly after, I fell for him too. After we had been talking for a while, Sam asked me on our first date, where we went shooting in the hills of Arroyo Grande. We shot watermelons, tomatoes, soda bottles, and other random items we had purchased at the grocery-store that morning. We even attempted swing dancing in the dirt, where during a spin, he farted on me and ran off into the woods. Best. Date. Ever.
Acacia Productions (Sam's Uncle Cameron's company) tricked me into thinking they needed models for an elopement shoot at Vintage Ranch in Paso Robles. Their coordinator reached out to me with all the details and a makeup appointment for the shoot. Once we got to the venue, Cameron and the crew had us take "elopement style photos" for about an hour. During the "first look shot," I opened my eyes and Sam was on a knee. After the proposal, we were able to take engagement photos and then come home to a surprise engagement party!
