Camogli is a small seaside town on the Italian Riviera and is easily reached by train. The town has its own train station with direct regional service along the Ligurian coast. If you’re flying from within Europe, the closest airport is Genoa (about 45 minutes away by train). Milan is another great option with many international connections. From there, it’s about a 2–2.5 hour direct train ride to Camogli. We strongly recommend taking the train rather than renting a car. Roads in this region are narrow and winding, and parking in Camogli is extremely limited. The train is easy, efficient, and by far the most enjoyable way to arrive.
Cocktail attire. We’ll be celebrating in a beautiful hotel overlooking the Ligurian Sea, so think elegant with a summery feel. Light, breathable fabrics like linen, silk, chiffon, or lightweight suiting are perfect. Midi and maxi dresses, tailored suits, jackets, or dressy separates are all great choices. Most importantly, wear something you feel great in and can dance in!
If you’re already on the Ligurian coast, consider hopping on the train to nearby towns like Sestri Levante, Santa Margherita Ligure, Portofino, or exploring the colorful villages of the Cinque Terre. They’re postcard-perfect and easy to reach by train. The French Riviera is just across the border, with glamorous stops like Nice and Cannes if you’re feeling inspired to continue west along the Mediterranean. Wine lovers can head north to Piemonte for rolling vineyard views and some of Italy’s most celebrated wines. If you’re craving a bigger city atmosphere, Milan offers incredible fashion, architecture, and night life. History enthusiasts can step straight into the Renaissance in Florence, while food lovers may want to make a pilgrimage to Bologna, often called the culinary heart of Italy. To experience jaw-dropping beauty, head to one of Italy's large northern lakes which offer dramatic mountain scenery, crystal clear waters, Mediterranean landscapes, and old-world elegance. And if you’ve never been, Rome is truly unmissable. The Eternal City is layered with ancient history, iconic landmarks, and that unmistakable sense that you’re walking through the center of it all. Within a few train rides you can move from pastel fishing villages to Renaissance cathedrals to alpine lakes to truffle country. You seriously can't go wrong.
