Located on the North Shore side of the Island great beach to relax or jump off the big rock into the ocean
Also in the North Shore area. Great place to snorkel for all ages, water is shallow and to see sea turtles we recommend arriving VERY early in the AM. Not so much a beach to relax but sunset beach is right next door walking distance. * Water shoes are recommended
Laniakea Beach, or Turtle Beach, is located on Oahu's North Shore and is well known for being a popular feeding and sun bathing area for Hawaiian Sea Turtles (honu). Although you'll catch the sea turtles sun bathing through out the day arriving early in the AM is recommended to avoid crowds.
Delicious and famous place on the island to grab shaved ice.
The Byodo-In Temple is a non-denominational Buddhist temple located on the island of Oʻahu in Hawaiʻi in Valley of the Temples Memorial Park. It was dedicated in August 1968 to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the first Japanese immigrants to Hawaiʻi. It is a beautiful place to visit and walk around.
Kailua beach is located right next to another beautiful famous beach Lanikai. both beaches are great to spend your day relaxing and enjoying the activities around you. you can rent paddle boards or kayaks. and enjoy good food around the area. there is an amazing shaved ice place called island snow you have to check out. there is also a nice hike in the area that is every easy but the view is amazing called Lanikai pillbox.
Easy hike in Kailua area.
Although the beach is beautiful it is one of our least favorites on the island because of the crowds and heavy traffic. but it is beautiful and the water is shallow for miles which is great for paddle boarding and trying to pick up a surf sesh. We recommend experiencing it but dont waste your whole vacation at this beach only as many people do.
