As of right now, we are optimistic that August of 2021 will be a safe time for our guests to travel and attend our wedding. We are requiring all of our guests and staff to be fully vaccinated before the event to reduce the risk. In addition to this, we are asking everyone to be safe and wear their masks prior to the reception.
The Monterey Airport is the closest airport to the wedding venue at about an hour's drive, however, the San Jose airport is not much further (~2 hours) and we highly recommend the scenic drive on California Highway 1.
We highly recommend staying in Monterey and Carmel-by-the-Sea area, so that you can use our shuttle services. For more details check out our travel page.
Please arrive before 4:30pm
Our dress code is semi-formal, suits, and cocktail floral dress. Big Sur in August is most likely beautiful and clear but it will likely cool down in the evening. So bring a jacket and maybe a scarf! when in doubt reach out to us and we can help!
There is no cell phone service in Big Sur, luckily the route to get there is a single road (Hwy 1), so getting lost is very unlikely. We suggest driving to Big Sur during the day, this will help you find your destination and allow you to enjoy this epic California coastline. *Download your map with gps before losing service*
You are welcome to take pictures of the ceremony and reception. We would love to collect photos and videos under the hashtag #ThePanettis
Please RSVP as soon as possible so we can get an accurate headcount and accommodate you for your stay!
Yes! if you are staying in the Monterey/Caramel area, we will be providing shuttles to and from the venue. Check out our travel page for more information.

1. Research before your trip. Know and plan where you want to stop. Remember NO CELL SERVICE. 2. Keep your eyes on the road. The highway is super windy, especially coming from the south. Use turnouts to pull over and take in the views. 3. Minimize waste and plan accordingly! Re-use and avoid single-use items. Pack it in. Pack it out! 4. Respect the locals and other travelers. 5. Enjoy and take the time to truly take in the moment!
