When Eddy and I met in 2002, it was just a regular summer day chilling at the Mullins house in Gifford. I was still fourteen, and Eddy had just turned fifteen. We spent the next ten years as good friends, without realizing we were playing a long game to the altar! Spending time away from home really has the potential to change your perspective, and that's definitely what it did for me. When I lived in Istanbul, I realized I missed Eddy just a little bit more than everybody else. We had long Sunday chats via Skype call that first year, and by the time I came home in Summer 2012, we decided to make it official and start dating! We've been blessed to have a great life together so far. Over the past few years, Eddy has had new career opportunities, been able to pursue his passion for both baseball and cards, and has begun a new program for sustainability in business. I've had the opportunity to finish my Master's and really pursue writing professionally. Lovers of cheese, beer, and Lake Michigan, we are big fans of living in Kenosha, Wisconsin for now, but could think of no better way to celebrate our marriage than returning to home plate, to the places and people we love most in the world. My Oma always told me to be careful hanging out in Gifford, because that's where she met Opa and ended up with six kids and a dairy farm to take care of! I can't speak to any blessings the future has in store, but I am very thankful that I wasn't too careful during those "hanging out in Gifford" days. I can't imagine spending life any other way. Here's to lining up for our next big game, hopefully with some solid averages and a lot of extra innings! Thank you all for your love and support, now and always. -Eddy and Justine
