We're so excited to celebrate with you!

In 2017, Jake moved to Florida with his bestfriend in the hopes to experience something new. He landed a job as a manager for Blast Arcade and Moo-La La ice-cream shop. Mikayla had worked there as well throughout high school and most of college. It was Gumbo Festival on Jake's first day of work... meaning it was crazy! Mikayla was working in the ice cream shop half in the freezer trying to scoop ice-cream (short people struggles) when Jake walked in for the first time. It was like two magnets being pulled together. After some quick introductions and an "Office" pick up line from Jake, they both knew there was something happening between them. As bashful hellos turned to much more.... Jake asked Mikayla to be his girlfriend on July 31, 2017 . Now, after more than three years together, buying their pet cat, Arya, and moving across country... They are finally getting married!

It was July 31st 2020. It was one of Mikayla's last days in Florida before the big move to New Hampshire. Mikayla, Jake, sister Audrey, and mother Michelle were relaxing on the sugar white sands of the Emerald Coast in Florida's panhandle. Before wrapping up, Jake asked to get a photo of him and Mikayla for their last day at the beach. After the first picture, Jake told Mikayla to turn around for a picture. When he told her to turn back around, he was down on one knee holding a beautiful ring and said the magic words "Will you marry me?" Obviously, Mikayla teared up and said "YES!" It was a very special moment for the two, after three amazing years they decided to take the next steps. Now, the couple is awaiting the day to call each other husband and wife.
