Eddie and I met on the dating app Hinge in September 2023. My story would be that I saw him first on the app but he says otherwise lol. We didn’t talk long on the app before Eddie asked for my number so it would be easier to communicate. We connected right away and didn’t go a day without talking to each other. Our conversations were so easy and open and we would make sure to FaceTime every night with some nights talking for hours. Just a short time after we went on our first date on 9/9/23 in downtown Chandler, Az. We decided to meet halfway since we lived an hour away from each other. We spent about 6 hours together eating food, having great conversations, and dancing. Eddie also had to test me with a few riddles lol. I loved how fun and goofy he was. After that first date I was already head over heels. Since then we have stayed consistent in our love for each other which has lead us to now getting married.

I had a trip planned to California for Christmas like I have done each year since moving to Arizona. Eddie was able to come along but would be arriving a couple days after me. Leading up to the trip Eddie told me to ask my sister Taylor, who does photography on the side, if she could take some nice photos of us while we were there. I didn’t think anything of it at first because we had been talking about hanging nice photos of us in our house. Eddie knew that the day he proposes I was always hoping my family and friends would be there. Deep down I was hoping this was going to be the trip but I overthink everything lol. When I arrived in California I had a conversation with my best friend Allyson about it all and of course she already knew the plans but she did a good job at steering me away from it so she didn’t spoil the surprise. On 12/28/24 Eddie and I headed to Big Sur with Taylor, Zep (Taylor’s husband), Allyson, and Ryan (Allyson’s husband). The weather was perfect and it was already such a good day. We were taking photos for about 2 hours and then Eddie wanted to go to one last spot on the beach. Surprisingly there was nobody on the beach where we were which is never like that. Taylor told Eddie and I to start walking down the beach and then at a certain point turn around and walk back towards her. As soon as Eddie grabbed my hand he asked how my day was going. He then proceeded to tell me how much he loves me and right away I just knew what was about to happen. I immediately started balling and in that moment I completely forgot Taylor was even taking photos. Time stood still and I was just living in the moment of realizing Eddie just asked me to marry him. I had never felt happier. More tears were shed with lots of hugging and then Allyson pulled out Mrs. and Mr. Glasses with some champagne. When we got back to my mom’s house there waiting for us was a party and all my close friends and family. I will forever remember 12/28/24. Eddie couldn’t have proposed in a more perfect way. The whole day was so special.
