How We Met

2016

Thea and I first met on a weekend basketball game at OLPH, and she was introduced to me by one of my friends. After talking to her, I thought she was cute, she had that contagious laugh and she had that very approachable vibe. That same day I added her on Facebook and casually chatted with her over the next few weeks. I thought she was very interesting and funny. So, I invited her to my brother's birthday party. I had to pick her up because she didn't drive back then. Luckily, she came to the party because that's when I asked her out for a date before I dropped her home. After several months, we went on our first date, and it was followed by many more memorable ones until she became my girlfriend. It's crazy that I met my future wife in an unexpected day when I thought it was a just a regular day. DESTINY is real and our humble story is a strong proof that God created a way to help us find each other. By: ED

The Proposal

2020

Ed and I have this anniversary tradition where we go out of town or out of the country every year. One random night during the BER months in 2019, he asked me to go to Paris in February 2020 for a post anniversary celebration. It never crossed my mind that he will propose to me. I did not have any expectations nor assumptions because he was not showing me any signs LOL. In my head, it was just a regular anniversary trip. On February 14, 2020, in Paris, Ed and I had a long eventful day. Around 5pm, he asked me to go back to the Eiffel Tower again to take some ‘more pictures’, I even refused because I told him we were already there LOL. But he was persistent and so we did. He made me sit at the bench and told me that he was going to set up the tripod, so we have a picture together. When he was walking towards me, he asked me to look behind me where I saw the Eiffel tower and when I turned my head back, he was already down on one knee, and I said “WHAT THE F*CK! SHUT YOUR MOUTH! But of course, I said YES! To be honest, he said so many things to the point where I cannot remember anything until today because I was blown away. But I do remember when he said, “Papakasalan mo ba ako?” and the rest was history. By: THEA
