We met the modern way -online- and had our first date over coffee at Flying M followed by a long walk. From the start, we were amazed by how comfortable and relaxed we felt with each other. We quickly realized how many hobbies we had in common: a love for running, biking, skiing, traveling, and cooking. But even more importantly, we shared similar values: dedication to family, hard work, kindness, and a grounded, joyful way of seeing the world. Our relationship has been full of adventure. Some of our earliest dates included hiking in the Boise foothills, bike rides along the Greenbelt, and even an 8-mile snowshoe up to a mountain summit. One of our favorite memories was our first trip together to go camping in Celebration Park. Despite Laura having an ankle injury and being unable to walk far, we couldn't stop laughing the entire weekend. As the seasons changed, our relationship deepened. Laura met Ed’s family in Chelan, Washington. Ed celebrated Thanksgiving with Laura’s in snowy Tahoe. And on a quiet trail near Sun Valley, as they skied through the woods at Galena Lodge, Ed knelt in the snow and pulled out a ring. Laura said "absolutely!!" We’re so excited for the next chapter of our adventure together!
