Flight
The closest airport to our wedding venue is Belfast International Airport. However, you also have other options, including Dublin Airport, Derry (City of Derry Airport), and Shannon Airport. Feel free to choose the one that works best for your travel plans!
Hotel
We’ve reserved a block of rooms at Jackson’s Hotel for our wedding guests. If you’d like to stay there, just give the hotel a call and mention Carol-Anne and Ed’s wedding. They’ll take care of the rest and help you book for the day—or days—you need.
Hotel
The Villa Rose is a sister hotel to Jackson's Hotel and is just a short walk away, making it a great alternative if you prefer not to stay at Jackson's. Another nearby option is Kee's Hotel in Stranorlar. We recommend staying as close to the venue as possible to make your day more convenient, allowing you to easily return to your room whenever needed.
House Or Rental
If you don’t opt for staying in a hotel, there are several Airbnb options available for rent in the surrounding areas, including Ballybofey, Stranorlar, Killygordon, and Castlefinn. Staying in any of these locations will leave you just a short taxi ride away from the venue. You can also check the distance to Jackson's Hotel on Google Maps to help plan your stay!
Rental Car
If you’d like, you have the option to rent a car from Belfast Airport to make your travel to Donegal more convenient. The drive is about an hour and a half, and renting a car to share with others could simplify the journey. Alternatively, there are buses available from Belfast Airport, such as the AirCoach, which operates a route from Belfast International to Derry. However, please note that you would need to take another bus from Derry to Donegal. For ease and flexibility, we highly recommend renting a car if possible.
