Anna lived across the street from David's grandparents, Joyce & Dick, while she was in high school. As neighbors, Joyce introduced Anna's mom, Karen, to David's mom, Dawn. Karen and Dawn hit it off and about 6 years into their friendship, they thought it was a great time for Anna and David to get together! Anna was home after her junior year of college and her mom encouraged her to reach out to David. So, Anna slid into his Facebook DM's! They went on their first date... David was infatuated but Anna actually wasn't that interested. David tried to swoon Anna for the next year, by sending her weekly texts and Snapchat... it wasn't until he stopped that Anna finally realized what she was missing. After Anna didn't hear from David for a few weeks... she realized she missed him and it was Anna's turn to reach out. Anna reached out with full intentions of marrying David Eckley on July 30, 2018 (it's written in her diary and she texted her friends her intention). They dated... and dated... and dated long-distance... and then on December 28th, 2021... David asked Anna to marry him and it was an obvious "ECK YEA!"
