The Pike Place Market has been a defining Seattle icon for more than a century. Considered by many “the soul of Seattle,” the Market spans nine historic acres in the center of downtown where everyday locals and tourists alike shop, visit, eat and discover. Some of our favorite spots in the market: The Pink Door (reservations recommended) Old Stove Brewery with an amazing view of the Puget Sound Pike Place Chowder, a must And if you’re in the mood to splurge, Sushi Kashiba is arguably the best sushi restaurant in the city. For over 50 years Chef Kashiba, a three-time James Beard Award nominee for Outstanding Chef & dubbed the “grandfather of seattle sushi”, has delighted visitors from around the world with his artistry and craft at his namesake Pike Place market outpost.
