Daniel and I met through his sister, Natalie, at none other than a football tailgate in Stillwater, Oklahoma. Natalie invited me to her parents tailgate where Daniel and I were introduced and had a short but pleasant conversation. Later in the day, we all met up at J.R. Murphys and it was no surprise that Daniel fell in love with me under the palms :) The next day, Daniel reached out to me through Instagram and asked me out on a date. I instantly agreed, but had some reservations knowing Natalie and I were friends and unsure how it might affect our friendship. After asking Natalie if she thought it was a good idea, she confirmed that I should absolutely go on the date. Seeing as Daniel and I both share a deep love for Christmas, he took me to dinner at Roosevelt's to see the holiday decorations and then to see Christmas lights afterwards. I vividly remember texting my mom right after he dropped me off at home to tell her how wonderful the date was and that I couldn't believe how easy and fun it was getting to know Daniel. Little to my surprise he would become my best friend and the person I get to spend the rest of my life with! - Cassie

We got engaged in Sydney, Australia while on a trip visiting two of my uncles, Tim and Daniel! The day started seeing a Frida Kahlo exhibit, where Cassie wasn't in the best of moods due to the unexpected Sydney heat (if you know her, you know air conditioning is imperative to her happiness). Our day led into a show at the Syndey Opera House followed by dinner at a rotating restaurant overlooking downtown Sydney. Once we arrived, I was supposed to have a spot set out; to my surprise the hostess said "it's not busy, do it wherever you want!" On a whim, I took Cassie by surprise to the corner of the restaurant and when I got down one one knee, Cassie shot out her hand in shock for me to put the ring on and when I asked "is that a yes?" she replied with a scream "yeah!!!!". We spent the rest of our trip excited to make memories that we knew would last a lifetime. Australia will always be apart of our story and we are so excited to start our new adventure as husband and wife! - Daniel
