Are plus-ones and children allowed?

We’re so excited to celebrate with our closest loved ones! Due to limited space, we’re only able to accommodate those listed on your invitation. If a plus one or family invitation was extended, you’ll see it clearly noted there. Thank you for understanding!

What is the dress code?

Answer

We kindly ask guests to wear cocktail or semi-formal attire. For men, a suit or dress shirt with a tie is suggested. For women, a cocktail-length (knee or midi) dress or dressy separates are perfect.

What is the weather and climate like in the area?

Answer

Mid-October in Big Sur typically brings mild, pleasant weather. Expect daytime temperatures around 65–75°F and cooler evenings dropping to the mid-40s to low 50s°F. We recommend bringing layers, including a jacket or sweater for the evenings.

What time should I arrive at your wedding ceremony?

Answer

Doors to the venue will open at 3:00 PM, one hour before the ceremony begins. Complimentary shuttles will be provided from both the Big Sur Lodge and the Loma Vista Shell station. Shuttles will depart promptly at 3:00 PM, so please plan to arrive a few minutes early. Be sure to keep an eye out for a message from us letting you know which pickup location you'll be assigned.

Where should I stay?

Answer

There are great lodging options nearby. Big Sur is the closest (20–25 minutes from the venue), and we’ve reserved a room block at Big Sur Lodge. For more variety, Carmel-by-the-Sea and Monterey are about an hour away. See our "Travel" page for lodging details.

Where should I park?

Answer

Wind and Sea has very limited parking reserved for overnight guests and vendors. All guests must take the provided shuttle from Big Sur Lodge or the Loma Vista Shell Station, as parking will not be available at the venue. Please arrive at your designated shuttle station by 2:45pm to board the shuttle. Return shuttles will be provided after the reception. For more details, please visit the "Travel" page on our website.
