What is the Traditional Ceremony?

The Nigerian ceremony is a traditional engagement where the couple brings their two families together—often from two different villages—to meet one another and approve of their engagement so that they could be married.

What should we wear to the traditional wedding?

Answer

Typically for the traditional wedding, guests wear Aso Ebi. Aso Ebi is the fabric material that is picked out from each family for their respective family and friends to wear. The material is meant to be custom sewn to a style. If interested, please contact our wedding planner, 401-688-6111. Please see examples in our 'photos' section of our website of Aso Ebi styles to sew! If you decide to not participate in the Aso Ebi, you are more than welcome to wear formal attire!

Dress to Impress! The theme of this wedding is a "Royal Experience". We expect everyone to come in their best dressed attire to fully enjoy this event! We are excited to see all of your amazing

Is there transportation to and from the hotels to the ceremony?

Answer

Yes! Transportation is available to and from for all guests staying at the Courtyard Marriott on the day of the white wedding. Transportation to and from the hotel will begin 1 hour prior to the start of the white wedding ceremony and continue up until 10pm.

Is there parking for the ceremony or reception?

Answer

Yes! There will be free parking available at both events.

Are kids welcome?

Answer

Families are more than welcome to bring children to the traditional event! However, the white-wedding is an adult-only event.
