Dearest Family and Friends, It is with great sadness that we write to inform you that we are postponing our April 25th wedding until further notice. As per guidance from the State of Illinois and the City of Chicago, gatherings of 250 people or less are strongly urged to be cancelled or postponed, especially if older guests or those with compromised immune systems will be in attendance. We want all of our loved ones to be with us to celebrate our wedding, and so we have made the decision to postpone until the situation has stabilized. Because there is still so little known about the coronavirus and how things will progress over the next few months, we are not setting a new date at this moment, but will set one and communicate it as soon as we know it is safe for people to gather. We are extremely disappointed but know this is the safe, responsible thing to do. For those of you who have booked airfare and lodging, we have seen that the majority of airlines are being flexible with cancellations and vouchers, and hope that rearranging travel plans will not be too much of a burden. We want to thank all of you for supporting us during this planning period, and for continuing to support us as we figure out our next steps. With lots of gratitude and love, Tara and Adam
Tara and Adam were both invited to a friend's house for a St. Patrick's Day party in March 2017. Amid the green bagels and green jello shots, they struck up a conversation, the topic of which will forever remain a mystery. After that day, they continued to run into each other for several more months before they officially began dating in December 2017, when they had their first date at their favorite neighborhood dive bar, Friar Tuck's. There, they sang the worst karaoke rendition of Sonny and Cher's "I Got You Babe," known to mankind. Two amazing years have gone by, filled with adventures, laughter, and lazy couch days with Ernie the dog. The singing may have been off key, but harmony is all around us.
