We're getting married!

Sometimes love finds you in the most unexpected places — for us, it began in a refuge chamber at Cliffs while working for BHP. Not exactly the setting of a romantic movie, but somehow it was just right. Amid the buzz of radios and the rhythm of shift work, Wade made the bold and unforgettable move of asking me out over the radio. Our first date was at my local pub, The Well. I don’t think I’ve ever laughed so much in one night — and I haven’t stopped laughing since. Wade’s sense of humor, kindness, and big heart won me over fast. Life moved beautifully from there. We found out we were expecting and moved in together in February 2025, ready to start the next chapter hand in hand. For my birthday Wade surprised me early with a puppy — our first little fur baby and a sweet symbol of the life we are building. Then on May 9th, 2025, he made it official and asked me to marry him. (Spoiler alert: I said yes!) Now, we’re counting down the days until we say "I do" and continue writing this amazing story together.
