We passed by each other from time to time at church, but I grew a secret church on Marquise as time went on. One day in 7am prayer, I heard him pray and that is when God confirmed that he was my person. Was I going to reveal that.. ABOSOLUTELY not..LOL.. I was very quiet and shy. One day I went to dinner with a friend. She asked me who I liked and I told her. A couple months later, I found out that the secret was out. A couple weeks later we saw each other at Bible Study, talked that night for hours, and have been inseparable ever since.

They tricked me..LOL.. What I thought was a girl's night, was really the result of planning the best birthday surprise ever! I was minding my business bopping to music with my girls on the way to what I thought was dinner. They surprised me with dinner at my favorite winery. Before eating, we took pictures together and individually. During my mini photoshoot, I turn around and there was the love of my life on bended knee wearing the smile that melts my heart, and one of my favorite songs. We were surrounded with so much love that my heart was overfilled with emotion. The one thing that made this complete was knowing that Marquise was able to ask my Dad for my hand before he passed away and I was able to call my Dad to tell him that I said YES!!! God is SOOO Good!!
