I was standing in line waiting for my girlfriends to arrive at Temptations Night Club on Church Ave & Flatbush Ave. If you know, you know it was the after-hours spot. Out of nowhere, a man dressed in a denim jean pants with the matching jacket approached me. He said, and I quote, “Those look like new shoes". You don't look too comfortable in them”. He proceeded to bump me with his elbow stating he was going to give me a new shoe test & suggested I stand on one foot. My response was "I'm comfortable, they aren't new". I was shocked & caught off guard that this man showed up out of nowhere vocal enough, bold enough to make such a statement . I thought to myself was this a joke ? Either way, I was intrigued. As he continued to admire my beauty, he then critiqued my nails, telling me he didn’t like the color. When my girlfriends finally arrived, I had to spill the tea on this random gentleman who had approached me in such an unfamiliar manner that I’ve never experienced before. Once we entered inside of the club, I spotted him from afar, on the dance floor, Guinness in hand, vibing out solo. One of my girlfriends went over to him and asked why wasn’t he dancing with me. His response was “I will not.” I couldn’t help but think that this man is either playing hard to get or uninterested. As the night began to dwindled down the sun began to rise. George approached me from behind with his Nextel phone clipped to his hip we exchanged numbers. We danced & talked until the sun peeped through the windows of the club. And the rest is history…
