We met in the most unexpected way—just living our normal lives, crossing paths in a place we’d both been many times before. What started as a small conversation in January of 2024, turned into something we didn’t see coming: a connection that felt easy, genuine, and surprisingly familiar. At first it was just texting back and forth, joking, sharing little pieces of our days. But the more we talked, the more we realized something was different. It didn’t feel like getting to know a stranger, it felt like discovering someone we were meant to find. When we finally met up again in person on March 2nd, 2024, everything clicked. It wasn’t dramatic or over-the-top. It was simple, natural, and comfortable in a way that made us both think, “This could be my forever person.” And from that moment, spending time together became the most effortless part of our lives. The more we grew together, the more we saw God’s hand in all of it…from the timing, to the connection, to the peace we both felt. What began as an ordinary hang out slowly became a story we knew was meant to last. Nearly two years later, Ebony planned a Hawaii trip to celebrate Austin’s 30th birthday, never imagining the moment waiting for her. With the ocean behind us and God at the center, Austin proposed and everything we hoped for suddenly felt so real. Our relationship has been a journey of love, faith, and growth. We’re thankful for every step God has guided us through, and we can’t wait to step into marriage with Him leading our future.
