In the beginning, we were simply acquaintances exchanging daily “Good Morning” texts. It was light, casual…until my heart started wanting more. Knowing my worth (as any good woman does), I finally said what needed to be said: *“I don’t need a pen pal.”* And just like that, chapter one of our story quietly came to a close. Fast forward three years—life circled back in its own way. There he was again, sliding into my DMs. After a few missed connections and postponed plans, we finally made it to our first real date: an impromptu night in Old Town Alexandria. A dive bar, terrible food, the wrong shoes—but laughter that didn’t stop. In that laughter, something real began to bloom. Since then, our story has only grown. From navigating life’s ups and downs, buying our first home, raising a college student, to sharing countless jokes and late-night talks—we’ve built something beautiful, rooted in love, resilience, and unwavering joy. And now, we’re ready to turn the page to our next chapter—together, forever.
