Who would have known the duet that was supposed to be performed for my brother's wedding, would turn into a love story for the ages! Cameron and I were chosen to perform a duet for his friend Kristin, and my brother, Bruce’s wedding. I was given Cam’s number first, but naturally I wasn’t sure how this project would work with the space between us. So it took awhile for me to contact him; until I did. March 15, 2017 I reached out to Cam about the song choice and to talk logistics. He expressed how terrible of a texter I am; and anyone who knows me, knows this is true. So I told him I would work on it for him. In no time, we were talking and texting for hours everyday about any and everything. When we finally met for the first time, all of the chemistry that was shared for those few months became clear! “We might just be onto something!” It was nothing like either of us had ever felt before.

Now 2 years together, Cam had planned for us to take anniversary pictures up Mount Washington overlooking the city with my photographer friend. We took beautiful pictures with the city as our backdrop. It was suggested we go down to Northshore and take pictures down by the river, I agreed so we went. It was a beautiful warm sunny day. A perfect day for pictures. We get down to the northshore and as were walking down the steps i hear cam and I’s favorite song by Peter Collins “Closer” playing in the background. With cam holding my hand, we turn the corner and all I can see are giant ballons held by all my friends and family spelling out “W I L L Y O U M A R R Y ME?” The tears instantly began to flow. My feet fell from under me and I couldnt believe what was happening! Cam got down on one knee and asked if I would be his wife. Now we’re on to forever.
