Asking Rafael or Ebeny their version of "who was interested first", will always be filled with uncertainty, jokes, and denial. Believe it or not, they were simply friends. Nothing more, nothing less. Ebeny's Version: Honestly, all I asked for was a personal trainer, that’s it. But somehow Raf seemed to check off my handwritten "Desires in a Husband " list. A list that wasn't created because I was ready for a serious relationship, but simply made to be set aside for the future. I would jokingly tell Raf I was going to pray for his wife, because I knew he would be an awesome husband, but a greater headache. Now look at me! It's me! We took a chance on something we were both unsure of, and while we do not have a fairytale story, we are definitely a couple that "grew in love". Rafael's Version: Some how helping in the gym turned into helping with her car and eventually made it to "Will You Marry Me". To try and answer the question of how or when is probably pointless because I have no clue. We did not force anything, it just developed. While most of the steps seem to come from uncertainty, sometimes you just have to give it a serious shot and see what comes out of it. So, when it's time to sit around the fire and tell the story of Raf and Eb......we'll pick up somewhere in the middle of our story.
