Ebony and Kenny visited Barcelona in May 2024, and here are their top recommendations for you to explore during your trip!
Rambla de Poblenou

Rambla de Poblenou

Take a stroll down El Poblenou, a lively avenue lined with outdoor cafes, street vendors, and excellent tapas and wine. At the end of the street, you'll find Barceloneta Beach, featuring white sands, beach volleyball, and a wonderful boardwalk along the Mediterranean.

La Guitarria de Barcelona

La Guitarria de Barcelona

Plaça del Pi, 5, Ciutat Vella, Barcelona, CT 08002, Spain

Strike a deal in the Gothic Quarter at this store, which sells handmade flamenco and classic guitars crafted from exotic woods. Kenny was particularly excited about the ebony wood guitars—perhaps it was a happy coincidence.

Barcelona Duck Store

Barcelona Duck Store

Palla, 11, Barcelona, CT 08002, Spain

Nestled in the Gothic Quarter, right across from a delightful French bakery, this quirky store is a treasure trove of ducks in every imaginable shape and size. It’s a whimsical wonderland that has Ebony absolutely quacking with excitement.

Lilith & Sons

Lilith & Sons

C. d'En Fontrodona, 23, Sants-Montjuïc, Barcelona, CT 08004, Spain

A cool bar whipping up spirit-forward specialty cocktails and great staff that made for an excellent night of drinks. It’s one of our spot in Barcelona, that’s hard to beat—just don’t be surprised if you end up coming back for more!

Cathedral of Barcelona

Cathedral of Barcelona

s/n Pla de la Seu, Barcelona, CT 08002, Spain

The Cathedral of Barcelona, also known as the Cathedral of the Holy Cross and Saint Eulalia, is a stunning example of Gothic architecture located in the heart of the Gothic Quarter. The cathedral is dedicated to Saint Eulalia, the city's co-patron saint, and offers breathtaking views from its rooftop.

La Sagrada Familia

La Sagrada Familia

Barcelona, CT, Spain

La Sagrada Familia in Barcelona is an architectural marvel you can't miss. Designed by Antoni Gaudí, this basilica features intricate facades, soaring spires, and a mesmerizing interior that feels both otherworldly and awe-inspiring. It’s a captivating blend of art and spirituality, complete with an excellent museum about its construction in the basement. Don’t forget to get tickets!

Picasso Museum Barcelona

Picasso Museum Barcelona

15-23 Carrer de Montcada, Barcelona, CT 08003, Spain

A museum spread over five palaces—we’d expect nothing less for Picasso, who moved to Barcelona as a 14-year-old boy and made frequent trips back throughout his life. Downstairs, a courtyard and Gothic archways lead into white studios that illuminate his works. Upstairs, the rooms are lavish: epic painted ceilings that almost drip crystal chandeliers. Visitors flock here to see Picasso's work, but the special setting is why they come back again and again.

Santa Maria de Montserrat Abbey

Located just outside Barcelona and easily accessible by train, the Benedictine Monastery at Montserrat offers some of Catalunya's most spectacular mountain views.
