Let's start off by saying none of this would be happening if it weren't for Mrs. Kasey Keck! My (Hannah's) cousin Kasey came down to visit me at college one weekend. The night she came to visit we decided to go to a fraternity party because what else is there to do in Rolla, Missouri? When we went inside Kasey bumped into Austin. They went to high school together. Kasey introduced us that evening and although we hit it off pretty quickly, I (Hannah) had to ask Austin for his phone number. We met up the following day to talk some more and about a month later we started dating. The rest is history! A big thank you to Kasey for helping us meet one another that night!
I (Hannah) bought us a helicopter tour over downtown Cincinnati for Christmas in 2020. On January 9th, 2021 we got dressed up nice and headed to the local small airport for our tour. It is worth mentioning that I noticed Austin had been acting a little strange that day. When I say strange I mean saying he kept "leaving his phone" places so when I would walk to the car he ran back into our apartment to "grab his phone". Once we got to the airport we got out of the car and once again Austin "left" something in his car. I thought it was a little weird but didn't think much of it. We went on our helicopter tour over the river at sunset and it was beautiful! Afterwards we went to one of our favorite breweries in Cincinnati. When we got out of the car Austin once again "forgot his phone" and told me to get a table. We ended up getting a table and ordering some food and drinks. Once Austin forced down some soft pretzels to make it seem like everything was ok, he started this little speech which was very sweet. During his speech he told me how the helicopter ride was a little scary, but that he wanted to spend the rest of his life doing everything with me no matter how scary they may seem. At this point I was a little confused as to what was happening and thinking to myself "he isn't going to propose in public he would never do that". Austin then proceeded to get down on one knee and I said "oh my gosh are you really doing this right now?" He said yes and then popped the question right there in the middle of the brewery! I obviously said yes and we celebrated with some prosecco and both proceeded to have absolutely no appetite for the rest of the evening. Needless to say our stomachs were in knots but the night was still perfect even if we didn't eat any of our dinner.
