Daniel spent many long nights, afternoons, and any spare seconds he could find planning the Proposal. He took me (Katie) on a drive through town, making stops at all of the special places in our relationship. We visited Shakabrah, a local restaurant where we would enjoy comedy nights together. It was an 18+ event but 17-year-old Katie soon found that, if you were confident enough, you could fly under the radar. We also made a stop at the home where we first met. The two of us reminisced on our favorite memories from childhood while reflecting on the growth our relationship has experienced. Another stop was at the Court 17 apartments, where our relationship blossomed. We spent many nights that turned into mornings together throughout Daniels's college years. We formed a deep friendship during these years. On the day of the proposal, Daniel took me on a walk around the UWT campus, taking a seat at the "W" sign. We spoke about how 4 years ago, we sat out there as friends, thinking about what the next 4 years may hold for us. As we returned home, I was led inside and met with close friends and family. They had completely decorated the inside of our home. There were big shining lights that said "MARRY ME". Daniel got down on one knee and said something. I cannot recall what was said as I blacked-out slightly... Afterwards, we all went to the Melting-Pot together, a favorite of Daniel and I. It is a place where we have celebrated some of the milestones in our lives. I am so excited for this next chapter. We are so excited to celebrate our love with you! See you soon :) -Katie and Daniel
