We recommend flying into Daniel Oduber Quirós International Airport (LIR) in Liberia, Costa Rica. From there, Playas del Coco is approximately 23 miles away, or about a 30–45 minute drive.
Rental cars are a popular and convenient option for getting around. While some roads may be a bit uneven, driving is very similar to the United States and generally easy to navigate.
For accommodations, vacation rentals such as Airbnb and Vrbo are the most common options in Coco and are a great place to start your search. If you prefer a more traditional stay, you’ll also find a variety of charming boutique hotels throughout this lively beach town.
