Morgan and William met at a formation heading to Leatherneck (Navys Marine Corps Summer Training), where Morgan approached the lone cadet in the formation who was standing by himself (enter William). Will was shy and standoffish at first, and repelled every attempt Morgan made at trying to be friends, so she gave up. In true Morgan fashion, she stuck her foot in her mouth through her attempts to befriend Will, accidentally asking him "If you want to be a Marine so bad, why didn't you just go to the Naval Academy?"... to which Will responded "I didn't get in"... in front of their entire platoon. Morgan was sure they would never become friends after that one. Until one random Wednesday in the treeline of LZ Falcon, Will attempted to pop an ingrown hair on his face while covered in cami paint.... and Morgan had to step in to prevent the several kinds of infections he was about to give himself. Morgan and Will became inseparable after that encounter, standing hours of security together in the field. The platoon loved it, but also lovingly let them know that they were not subtle. The last weekend of the training, Will knew he had to make his move so he eavesdropped on Morgan and bridesmaid Maggie to find out their plans for the weekend. Elated that they were staying in Annapolis, he approached Morgan and asked her about her weekend plans *already knowing she was staying in Annapolis. He invited her to a squad bar outing at ACME that he organized for the specific purpose of luring her out. After twisting her arm to go out, he walked away fully knowing he left Morgan with no way of knowing when the bar crawl was happening, tricking her into asking "Wait, how will I know where you guys are?"... to which he replied "Oh just text me". Morgan, confused because she did not have Will's number said "Can I get your phone number then?" and Will internally fist pumped. Weeks later, Will asked Morgan out and the rest is history! Their relationship is filled with love and patience for 51 weeks out of the year, except for Beat Army week (a title which Will disputes) where for the rest of their many years together Morgan will remind Will of the 31-13 defeat of 2025. After months of dating, and some potential ring receipt email snooping from Morgan, Will proposed on June 13, 2025 and Morgan made him the luckiest man in the world when she said yes,! In all seriousness, Morgan and Will's love is patient, kind, God-fearing, and the biggest blessing in both of their lives. They are each other's best friends and biggest supporters, loving each other from a 728 mile distance while they pursue careers as a Marine aviator and Army infantryman. They are so humbled and blessed to be surrounded by so many loved ones who support them and want to travel the distance to celebrate with them on their special day!!
