Mother of the Bride
Kelly has been a big supporter of this relationship since the beginning. Ryan and Nick are so grateful to Kelly for how much she has already helped with and contributed to this wedding and its planning, and that she's slowing her retired travel plans in Summer 2022 just for us! We wager that no one will be on the dance floor for more songs than Kelly!
Mother of the Groom
Nick & Ryan are so grateful for Denise’s contribution to the wedding as well as her enthusiasm about the event despite the fact that they chose to get married only eight months after the wedding of her daughter, Danielle! Sorry, Denise, and thank you so much!
Officiant & Bridesmaid
Danielle is Nick's younger sister and a close friend of both Ryan and Nick. They are lucky to live close by and see each other often! Ryan & Nick both agreed that Danielle was the perfect officiant for the big day and she said yes to the role! A surprise to no one that knows her well, Danielle will actually wear two hats this day because she will be a bridesmaid as well! Ryan can't wait to see Nick and Danielle's inevitable handshake at the alter.
Father of the Bride
Make sure you catch Dave's famous dance moves on the dance floor! Ryan and Nick are so grateful to Dave for his contributions to the wedding and the support he has provided them throughout their relationship.
Co Maid of Honor
Rachel and Ryan have been best friends since middle school, lived together for all four years of undergrad at the University of Tennessee, and continue to be there for each other in every way possible. Rachel is an honorary family member and attends any Gilfillan/Collins event she's available for. Rachel and Ryan even have plans to travel the entire US together (over time) and they call this goal the "50 States Dates."
Best Man
Nick and Nick, the classic double trouble. The Nicks grew up just down the street from each other in Waltham, MA. These two first met as kids on the baseball field and when growing up would wander the neighborhood loudly carrying tunes. Langton once helped Marini to move by flying to TN and driving back to MA, reading a book out loud the entire way. This is a GOOD guy!
Co Maid of Honor
Kendall is the second of the three "Gilfillan Girls" - the sister pop band that never was. Kendall cares a lot about her people and makes sure that they know it in the most thoughtful and creative ways - like throwing a Bonnaroo themed engagement party for Ryan and Nick. Laughing with Kendall is some of the brightest joy that any of us can experience. Nick and Ryan are so happy to have such a close relationship with Kendall, riddled with inside jokes and enthusiastic Marvel Cinematic Universe fan theory discourse.
Groomsman
Donnie and Nick met at Framingham State University! When meeting Donnie, Nick thought he had literally met the nicest person ever. As their friendship grew, they had some of the most notorious video game battles ever, in their dorm, which people still talk about to this day (those people are Nick and Donnie). They always have and always will love to spend time in deep conversation about exploring the World.
Matron of Honor
Cameron is the third out of the three "Gilfillan Girls." Cameron has had some of the busiest last couple years, obtaining her DPT, getting married, and working hard toward a specialty in her field with even more school, but, you would never know because when she is with you, she's present in that moment. Cameron is known for showing up for her people. Nick & Ryan can't wait to sing loudly and badly on the dance floor with Cam and her husband Chase.
Groomsman
Anthony, AKA Tony, and Nick met at Framingham State University and took acting and drama classes together and learned they had a ton in common! They were orientation leaders in the "Black & Gold" and were roommates post graduation (along with Mike and Sam at the "#Gransion"). Nick and Tony always end up falling into deep conversations where they share stories or memories that make them laugh and cry at the same time!
Bridesmaid
Katherine is one of three wedding party members to have been witness to Ryan and Nick's relationship from day one. Katherine was part of the Boston group that came down to Bonnaroo 2013 (see the 'How We Met' section on the Home page for more on Bonnaroo). Ryan is so grateful Katherine rode down to TN in a van with people she met just days before (but friends of her friend) because they would become the best of friends. It's downright weird how much these two have in common and love each other - total soul sisters.
Groomsman
Sam and Nick met at Framingham State University on Nick's first year's move-in day when he bumped into a group of Waltham friends and Sam was with them! They both worked the campus shuttles and hung out all the time. They would later be roommates post graduation (with Tony and Mike at the "#Gransion"). Sam and Nick have had some amazing conversations that sometimes lead an existential crisis or two, but it's always a good time in the end. Also, Sam has possibly the best laugh in the entire world.
Bridesmaid
Robin and Ryan met freshman year at the University of Tennessee, and were roommates for Junior and Senior year in the best three bedroom apartment ever (with Rachel, too)! These three brunettes with "R" names have remained best friends ever since and Ryan had the honor of being in Robin's wedding back in Spring 2016! Since then, the gang gets together in one of our three very spread out cities as often as possible, so Ryan can't wait for some built in (wedding) excuses to see Robin even more this year!
Groomsman
Mike and Nick met at Framingham State University because, as luck would have it, they were randomly assigned as roommates, which they would eventually become again post graduation (with Tony and Sam at the "#Gransion")! Nick's most treasured memories with Mike are attending the McHale's famous Christmas parties with caroling and drinking. Nick and Mike would end the nights putting the family presents under the Christmas tree.
Bridesmaid
Caleigh is the Groom's (and soon will also be the Bride's) sister-in-law and an important character in the story of how Nick proposed to Ryan (scroll down on the Home page if you're looking). Considering Caleigh and Danielle's wedding is just eight months prior to this one, Nick and Ryan are grateful that she's agreed to be a part of even more wedding talk and can't wait to have more built in reasons to hang out throughout the next year.
Groomsman
Alex is one of three wedding party members to have been witness to Ryan and Nick's relationship from day one at Bonnaroo 2013. Nick and Alex have also been great friends since middle school. Alex is a grade A concert-going buddy with impeccable music taste and is always showing Nick new artists. They once attended the most hilariously depressing show to ever happen and are able to laugh about it.
Groomsman
Tom is one of three wedding party members to have been witness to Ryan and Nick's relationship from day one at Bonnaroo 2013. Nick and Tom have also been friends since middle school. They had the pleasure of being taught by the most interesting man in the world, Colonel Poulton. They were also in show band in high school, so they were definitely very cool. This Fonzie-pizza-tattoo-having-good-guy always brings the party.
