Keeping our guests safe and healthy is our top priority, and our hope is that this October will be a safer one. Our venue has ensured that they will be following all CDC guidelines surrounding Covid-19 precautions. We will additionally be providing colored wristbands to indicate your comfort level. We are both fully vaccinated, along with our families and bridal party, and while we will not be requiring the following, we do strongly encourage our guests to be: fully vaccinated 14 days prior or have a negative Covid-19 test 48-72 hours prior to our wedding. We do ask that you use your best judgement when traveling and attending as we will have high-risk guests at our wedding. If you begin to feel unwell, we ask that you please celebrate with us from afar. We want to see and celebrate with you, but the health of our guests is our top priority. If you have any additional questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to reach out. We want all guests to feel comfortable attending our wedding. Thank you!
Family and Friends, We have been notified that our wedding weekend falls on the same weekend as Indiana State University’s homecoming. We strongly urge to book hotels sooner rather than later. Additionally, both hotels cannot guarantee early check-in on the day of the wedding. If you are traveling from out of town, we strongly encourage to check-in Friday evening. Shuttles to ceremony will begin at 3:30pm on the day of the wedding. See hotel block information under the TRAVEL/ACCOMODATIONS page. Looking forward to seeing you on October 23rd! Much love, Charlene and Thomas
Love tends to find you when you’re least expecting it; and that is how the story of Charlene and Thomas began back in the fall of 2017. Charlene was out at the bars one night in Chicago after a Cubs game for her birthday in September. She had met up with some friends, and with some liquid courage asked a friend to set her up with someone so we can all go on double dates. Little did I know, he already had someone in mind. Our mutual friend called Thomas to come meet up with us, but settled on a date for the following weekend. We both talked throughout the week, asking the standard ‘where did you grow up?’, ‘where did you go to college?’, ‘how many siblings do you have?’ questions. There was an instant connection, even if it was through a few text messages. Then came the first date. We both agreed we were nervous wrecks! The moment we met, it was a combination of extreme nerves and familarity. We were strangers, but felt like we’d known eachother for years. The night went by in a blur, and we fell for eachother almost instantly. Fast forward almost two years, we are visiting Charlene’s best friend in Arizona and it ends with the grandest of proposals at the Grand Canyon!
