We met at our highschool's freshman orientation. They were offering boxes of donuts. I, Mon, of course dove right in. However, I saw a really cute boy from across the way, and he was donut-less. I offered him a classic glazed donut (now knowing that his favorite is a Bear Claw), and he accepted it. From there, we were pretty much insepertable.
After a few years of growth, separation, and state lines, online mischief brought us back together during the pandemic. From late nights, to playing video games, to watching our favorite shows (new and old), to planning our first date as adults with actual money. All these instances connected our inner flames.
Unlike most proposals, Mon was eager to finalize our relationship. Mon proposed in April 2022, unknowingly beating Easton at his own long-prepared proposal plan. Later that year, on November 25th, Easton proposed at the spot where our first date was. Both instances were done in private as we did not need strangers or even familiar onlookers to testify to what we already knew in our hearts -- we did not need anyone else to be our other half.
After Mon's final semester of college, we decided to close the distance between us and move in together! After all those years of individualized growth and patience, we ended up finding our home in the desert. From apartments to renting our first home, we have made plenty of "engagement" memories.
Finally settled into our career positions and routines, we decided to take the plunge in November 2025 to begin our concrete wedding planning. Guest lists, seating charts, cutlery, DJs, venues, outfits, wedding party selections, parties... all of these have been (mostly) finalized by February 2026! A sincere thank you to all involved in the preparations and aid in our planning.
