It is hard to express in words the amount of gratitude we have for the Sierra clan. They have loved Lauren unconditionally her whole life. This love has come in many forms including watching her play soccer for 18 years, holding her through times of anxiety/depression, supporting moves across the country (and even to another country), and being present through faith changes, career shifts, and new starts. Megan has felt incredibly loved and welcomed by Bill, Carolyn, Nick & Aly since the very beginning of our relationship. Avery and Camdyn bring consistent joy, laughter, and pure-unwavering love for Aunt Lolo and Megan.

Sarah and Megan met in college through a student ministry and became close friends on a 6 week summer trip to Vancouver, Canada. Some of our most fun times were in Vancouver and then back home at Pease Park in Austin. In our 6+ years of friendship, we have changed a lot, worked through difficult things, and have been consistent friends through it all. Megan and Lauren appreciate Sarah's humor, thoughtfulness, and willingness to be a listening ear.

Charis and Lauren have known each other for 7 years and were roommates for 4 of those years. Charis has been a loyal friend to Lauren and a fierce advocate for both of us. Lauren and Charis have eaten and drank at pretty much every brewery and coffee shop in Fort Worth. Some of our favorite memories with Charis include a trip to Arkansas where she lovingly shared the backseat with Forest and a trip to DC to visit Charis after she moved.

Jamie and Megan met in college at UT through a student ministry. Jamie was a sophomore and I was a freshman when we discovered we were in the same section of British Lit. We both made it through that class, however, one of us did more of the reading than the other. Our hardest conversations and best memories seem to frequently take place at Austin restaurants like Pinthouse Pizza or Salty Sow. Megan and Lauren loved celebrating Jamie and her husband Shivam's marriage in the summer of 2023 and can't wait for many more years of friendship.

Lauren has known Deidre for nearly fifteen years and met Deanne just a few years later. Their love for one another is something I never thought possible for my own life, and they endured with me through years of emotional and theological struggle. Megan and I had the honor of attending their wedding in 2021, and we are grateful that we now get to experience what we never thought possible.

Lauren has been friends with Nicole and Clint individually long before they were "Nicole AND Clint". They all met through church and became a close friend group especially during Covid. Lauren and Megan attended their wedding in 2022 and have appreciated their consistent friendship amidst relational transitions, faith changes, and a long roadtrip to Montana.

Jenna and Austin became quick friends of ours when we moved in together in Fort Worth. They had just moved to Fort Worth from Los Angeles and we met up for beers the first time at Wild Acre. Megan told Lauren not to ask these newfound *potential* friends any personal/theological questions, but she didn't listen and we have been friends ever since.
Emotional Support
Are they our emotional support animals or are we their emotional support humans? We're not quite sure ;) If you have never seen the video of Megan surprising Lauren with June as an 8 week old puppy, you should definitely ask about it.
