In light of the recent uptick in cases, and to help keep elderly and high-risk guests safe, please take the following precautions before traveling to the wedding: • If you're experiencing any symptoms (scratchy throat, sneezes, cough, and/or headache), please test before traveling • Even if you test negative, please consider not coming if your symptoms are new. Many people test negative for several days before testing positive • Our best advice: Go into “soft quarantine” (be cautious) NOW to avoid exposure to Covid so we will see you at the wedding! • If Covid rears its ugly head in your life between now and the wedding, please respect the CDC’s Covid recommendations. Our wedding events are either outdoors or a hybrid of indoor-outdoor except for the actual ceremony which is exclusively inside Bruton Parish Church. Masks and hand sanitizer will be available at all venues. If your original response has changed due to Covid-related or other reasons and it’s possible to let us know sooner rather than later, please notify Brooke, btweinmann@gmail.com, and our wedding consultant, Jess Aiken, jessica@weddingcoofwilliamsburg.com, with "Eason & Dan" in your email's subject line, ideally on or before Monday, June 13. Thank you!
Yes. ONLY during the ceremony, parking is available on Duke of Gloucester Street between Bruton Parish and Henry Street (just those 2 blocks) on both sides of the street. Please park perpendicular only (head first to the curb), not parallel to the sidewalk.
Yes. The W&M Alumni House, location of the dinner reception, is 0.7 miles - a 15-minute walk from Bruton Parish Church. Guests may choose to walk or drive.
For guests staying at CW hotels (The Griffin, The Lodge, or the Inn) your parking is covered through the resort fee. You can park anywhere on the property of the Williamsburg Inn, Lodge, or Griffin. For guests staying elsewhere, you may park in the designated visitor parking on the property of the Williamsburg Inn, Lodge, or Griffin, however, you will need to download the Passport Parking app (https://www.passportparking.com/) and pay the hourly fee to park. These are the most convenient lots to the Inn events.
Williamsburg in June can be hot, humid, and sometimes have afternoon showers, so be sure to check the weather before packing. However, the church and reception venues ARE air conditioned spaces. Attire suggestions are listed under the events in the "Schedule" tab.
