Due to the uncertainty surrounding the COVID-19 pandemic, we've made the difficult decision to change our original wedding plans. We have moved our event to a spacious outdoor space and will be moving forward with a smaller guest list. To those who will now be celebrating from afar, please know that we are so appreciative of your love and support. We plan on sharing photos from our special day on social media as soon as it is available. Please know that this was not an easy decision to make, but we feel it is necessary given the current circumstances. We apologize for any inconvenience caused by the short notice and change of our plans and thank you for understanding.

Rewind to a 2D Concepts art class during sophomore year of college at the University of Northern Iowa. Both Jake and Danielle had recently declared Graphic Design majors. After sitting in the same circles of students for a few weeks a friendship started to form. The next year as Juniors, the two continued to have many classes together and with a love for art, music, and silliness the two became inseparable.

The Friday evening started at Americana where Jake was willing and eager to split a meal (weird). Afterwards, Jake asked to walk through the Sculpture Garden across the street. This is also where they had their first afternoon hang out when they started talking way back when. Jake led Danielle around the back side of “Nomade” and proceeded to tell Danielle all of the mushy reasons he loved her and then popped the question. Danielle was giddy to say “yes”. As they hugged, close friends Drew and Alyssa ran down from the overlooking hill; they had been taking candid photos and were ready to celebrate! On the Uber ride back to their apartment, the game plan was to grab a few beers and the two couples head to the complex rooftop to enjoy the evening. Much to Danielle’s surprise and shock, as the elevator doors opened to the rooftop, a group of their close friends and family were anxiously awaiting their arrival. It was all so fantastic.
