Question

Will the wedding be held outside or inside?

Answer

The wedding ceremony will take place on the lawn overlooking the golf course, weather and heat permitting. Seating under shade will be available. Ladies, please consider wearing shoes suitable to walk on grass. In the event of rain, the ceremony will be held indoors. The cocktail hour will be held both indoors and with access to the ballroom's patio. Dinner and the reception will be held indoors.

Question

What's the dress code?

Answer

Cocktail/semi-formal attire. Cape Fear Country Club's dress code prohibits denim, t-shirts (men must wear collared shirts), and flip flops. For women we'd recommend dresses of any length, and for men we'd recommend a suit, or pants & a button down/blazer. Additionally, we would kindly ask all guests to refrain from wearing white/ivory or light blue that the bridal party will be wearing.

Question

Will there be parking available?

Answer

For the Welcome Party on Friday night, parking is not available onsite at Front Street Brewery. However, limited surrounding street metered parking is available in downtown Wilmington free of charge after 6:30PM or we would recommend parking at the Market St or Second St Parking decks ($1/hour after first 30 mins free). Uber and Lyft are also readily accessible in the area. On Saturday, limited parking will be available onsite at Cape Fear Country Club free of charge. We would recommend a ride share service if you don't intend to drive home after the reception; however, cars can be left overnight if retrieved in a timely manner the next day.

Question

What is the schedule of events?

Answer

We encourage you to review our Weekend Schedule tab for detail on the events taking place during our wedding weekend. The Welcome Party will be held at The Tap Room at Front Street Brewery, located in downtown Wilmington on Friday night at 8pm. The wedding on Saturday will last from 5-5:30pm, with cocktail hour directly following. A buffet dinner will begin around 7pm. Then, bring your dancing shoes to celebrate with us until 10:30pm!

Question

When should I RSVP?

Answer

RSVPs are due by June 29th. We will not be able to accommodate guests who respond after this date due to necessary finalization with our vendors.

Question

Will there be an open or cash bar?

Answer

The Welcome Party on Friday will be an open bar of beer and wine only. The wedding reception will include an open bar with selections of beer, wine, and liquor. We encourage those drinking alcohol to do so responsibly.

Question

What food will you be serving?

Answer

During cocktail hour, we will have a selection of light passed hors d'oeuvres followed by a buffet dinner and dessert. Please reach out to Elizabeth for any dietary restrictions or concerns and we will ensure the kitchen accommodates you!

Question

Can you accommodate dietary restrictions?

Answer

Our reception will include food selections suitable for all diet types. If you have a specific allergy or dietary restriction to be aware of, please let us know in your RSVP or directly with at least 2 weeks advanced notice and we will ensure it's accommodated!

Question

Can I bring my children?

Answer

We love your little ones just like you do! However, we have included only children within our families due to limitations in capacity. We appreciate your understanding!
