Madi and Jason met at college up at UMD in Duluth, MN. Jason was starting his 4th year and Madi her 3rd. On August 30th, 2019, Jason was getting lunch with a friend and stopped Madi on the stairs to see if she wanted to join his board games that night. She said no that evening, but Jason got her number to invite her another time. After Madi got used to talking to Jason and showing up to some of the board game sessions, they eventually started dating on September 28th 2019, and have been together ever since. After Madi graduated, they lived in a little trailer up in Duluth for a few years while continuing to host the board game group at the school. In 2022, Jason got Madi a kitten for her birthday, they named him Loki. In April of 2024, they moved down to Wayzata, MN and later that same year, Jason proposed to Madi on their 5th anniversary of dating. They are now super excited to get married this coming September, where they will soon have been together 7 years.
