Rental Car
Things to Note
Getting a rental car is the most flexible way to get around, but there are a few things to keep in mind! *Manual cars are common, so be sure to filter for automatic if you're like us and have no idea how to drive stick. *If you're using your credit card for insurance, be sure to check the details of your coverage, as many list that Ireland is NOT a covered country. If you do have coverage, you will likely need to show a letter to the rental company as proof (Chase cards do cover Ireland and it's super easy to get the letter).

InterCity Train
2 hour 30 minute train ride from Dublin (Heuston) to Cork (Kent). Great option if you want to check out Dublin, but don't want to drive for multiple hours. *Cork is still a bit over an hour from the hotels. If you choose to get a rental car in Cork, there won't much big highway driving, and the roads get fairly narrow. *There is a bus that goes from Cork directly to Bantry, which is noted last on this page.

Expressway Route 51
The Expressway 51 bus leaves directly from the Shannon Airport to Cork. This route will also go North to Galway if you want to explore! *Timed bus tickets are available to purchase in advance. *Cork is still a bit over an hour from the hotels.
