In January 2013, Mags and her friend Hannah went to visit a friend at his fraternity house in College Park. Dylan was a part of that fraternity, and also happened to be visiting that night (it was winter break). Mags and Dyl immediately hit it off once Dyl realized that Mags was just as big of a soccer fan as he was. They hung out all night and spent it talking about soccer and school, and drunkenly pinky-promised that they would say bye to each other the next morning. However, when Maggie and Hannah left at 7 am that next day, that idea seemed much sillier, and Maggie left without saying goodbye. Later that day, she received a text from an unknown number saying "You broke your pinky promise!!" The two of them have spoken every day since that text was sent. They officially started dating on February 14, 2013, and Dylan proposed on the beach in California nearly 7 years later, on December 24, 2019 (what is with this man and holidays!) They happily live together in Olney with their cat, Evie, and are looking forward to all the wonderful changes the next few years will bring.
