There are several rental shops, so don't feel as though you need to come here, but we do highly suggest renting bikes one day and riding along the city walls and outside to the nearby parks and river. There are several lunch spots and bars along the wall, as well.
A suggestion from one of my good friends, Ben Gold, who will be joining us this week. He highly suggests taking a ride around Lucca and visiting the towns along the hills. Great for a group. Note: you need to know how to drive stick.
