On May 7, 2015, Anna and Dylan met carpooling on their way down to Shasta Lake, CA through a mutual friend, Elle Bean, and after a few hours of getting to know each other, we clicked. Ever since that weekend at Shasta Lake, we became best friends. We always stayed connected by meeting at the OSU library, at fraternity/sorority functions, and by keeping in touch. In April of 2017, one of Anna's best friends, had to smack Dylan in the face (literally) in order to "wake him up" and ask Anna out to dinner (something more serious than library dates). After a long and unproductive study session at the library, Dylan walked Anna back to her sorority and asked Anna to dinner before saying goodnight. Dylan fit perfectly into Anna's schedule, and one beautiful evening at the Laughing Planet Cafe in Corvallis, OR, Dylan and Anna talked and talked and talked... It was getting so late, the staff had to come remind us that they closed over an hour ago. You guessed it, the rest is history.

After endless date nights, house dances, library dates, road trips, and a year of long distance while Anna started her career in Seattle, and Dylan finished his degree at OSU. We finally settled and continued our careers together in Laguna Hills, CA (Orange County) in September 2019. On July 31, 2021, on a beautiful summer evening in Laguna Beach, CA, Dylan pulled off the impossible... Dylan surprised Anna and proposed, and of course, Anna said Yes! Campbell and Emily ( Anna's brother and sister in law) joined us as we celebrated our engagement with a mesmerizing sunset dinner in Laguna Beach.
