Our wedding will take place on June 1st in Spoleto, Italy. We can’t wait to celebrate with you in such a special place!
Our wedding attire is semi-formal. This is not a black-tie event, but we do ask that guests dress in a polished, elevated manner for the occasion. For women, sundresses, midi/maxi dresses, or dressy skirts are all great options. There is no specific color dress code, but please do not wear white. Please keep in mind that our ceremony will be held in a Catholic church, and we respectfully request modest attire, including covered shoulders during the Mass and dresses or skirts that are not overly short. A shawl or wrap works beautifully. Since the reception will be held on a grass lawn, block heels, flats or sandals are recommended. If you are questioning whether a dress is appropriate, please feel free to send it to me, and I will gladly let you know. For men, dress pants with a button-down shirt are appropriate for the Mass/ceremony. Linen is a great lightweight option. A sports coat, jacket, or suit is recommended, along with dress shoes.
Please let us know in advance if you would like to be on a shuttle from the venue to the church and back or if you would like to drive yourself.
We are keeping our guest list intentional and intimate. If you received a plus one, it will be listed on your invitation. Thank you for understanding!
The ceremony will be indoors. The reception will be outdoors, and we recommend bringing appropriate shoes and a light layer depending on the weather.
We have reserved the entire property at Borgo della Marmotta for our wedding week so that all of our guests can stay together and enjoy the celebration nearby. Accommodation details can be found in the Travel section of our website. We would truly love to have everyone stay on the property with us.
Transportation information is also included in the Travel section of our website. We recommend either renting a car or arranging a private car service from the Rome Airport (FCO) to Borgo della Marmotta. If anyone needs recommendations or assistance coordinating transportation, we would be more than happy to help.
Late May and early June in Spoleto are typically warm, sunny, and beautiful, with daytime temperatures usually ranging from the low to mid 70s°F and cooler evenings. It’s one of our favorite times of year in Umbria, with green countryside, blooming flowers, and comfortable weather for celebrating outdoors. Since we’ll be in the Italian countryside, there may also be some bugs or mosquitoes in the evenings, so we recommend packing bug spray just in case, along with a light jacket or shawl for cooler nights.
We invite you to be fully present during our ceremony. We’ll have an unplugged ceremony, but afterward, please take and share photos!
