We have invited 156 of our original 230 guests to our spacious partially outdoor venue. Masks will be REQUIRED inside the clubhouse. Please understand we cannot accept any exceptions, medical or otherwise. You will need to wear a mask to go through the line to be served dinner and to use the restrooms. Masks will not be required in the tent or on the grounds, but you are welcome and encouraged to wear one. We will provide disposable masks but please feel free to bring your own. We will have a bartender for cocktail, N/A, water, beer, wine, and hard seltzers. You are also welcome to BYO. If you are too uncomfortable to attend we completely understand and hope you can join us via the Zoom link.
Attention ladies! There will be a lawn so please plan your shoes accordingly.
There is a surface lot and overflow field but we will likely be short on parking. We appreciate all attempts to carpool and save space.
Idlewild is a private club and therefore not generally open to the public. We will provide beer, wine, and spirits but you are welcome to bring your own too, if you like. The couple want to give a very special thanks to our friends Jim & Cathy Flinn for helping us secure this special location. Both the bride and groom have many fond memories of good times on the lake and could not think of a better setting to celebrate their marriage!
Shuttle map & schedule are under the Travel section of the website. We want all of our guests to have a great time and not be worried about how to get to the hotels safely. Because Uber and Lyft are not abundant (we know of one Lyft driver but only occasionally logs in!) we are hiring a shuttle. There is a map and schedule on the Travel page of this site. There will be 3 departures from Idlewild (first to Celina then St Marys) and back to Idlewild at 11 PM, 12 AM, and 1 AM. The shuttle is a 27-passenger bus operated by Advantage Limo out of Delphos. Please note: The shuttle would only work with us for the hotel stops, not individual residences.
We do not have any official photography post-ceremony. Please take a couple of pictures and tag us with #ForRicheyOrPoorer so we can remember the night. Miss Kelly Reiher IG @kellyreiher is our fabulous photographer from engagement photos who will handle the pre-ceremony & ceremony pics.
There will be an assortment of vegan (fruit & veggies) & non-vegan (meat! cheese!) hors d'oeuvres. We are working to finalize the dinner menu. It's looking like we will have vegetarian cheese lasagna, beef meatballs, Cathy's house salad with red onion, apples, cranberries, candied nuts, and homemade dressing, a green vegetable, rolls, and cake. Finally, at ~11 PM we will have some Villa Nova pizza delivered. ***UPDATE!! I went to pre-order pizza on 9/23 and they no longer have GF cauliflower crust!! Sorry to our GF friends... We are looking into other options!***

We will have plenty of NA water & soda. We will also have cans of: Budweiser, Bud Light, Michelob Ultra, assorted BL Seltzers, Boulevard Brewing Space Camper IPA and Hazy Wheat, every basic conceivable liquor up to and including Fireball, Kim Crawford Sauvignon Blanc (Dj--Setting two aside for you!!) Chardonnay, Menage a trois red blend, and another totally decent bold red blend I forget (maybe Apothic red?). And of course, far too many bottles of bubbly. Be one of the first 90 guests and get yourself a limited edition Dylan & Samantha 10.10.2020 foam beer cozy ;). Please drink responsibly and take the shuttle back to your hotel!
