A little happy birthday message on Facebook turned into the exchange of phone numbers and talking for over 2 months before I finally said yes to going on a date with him. We went bowling where we made a bet that if I won he had to go on a second date with me…Well of course he “let” me win. We then went to the baseball facility where he worked at the time and hit in the batting cages. Then drove all the way to Dauphin Island to watch the sunrise because we just didn’t want the night to end. After the first date, I knew then I never wanted another first date. That he was it!! Few months later we got surprised with our greatest gift yet, Beckett. The adventure of becoming parents together to the best little guy there was, was more than we could have imagined. All the smiles, tears, good and bad we have always been each other’s safe place. Over these last 5 years of growing together, raising a son together, overcoming and enjoying all of the highs and lows together I cannot wait more than to spend the rest of my life loving him.
