Thirteen years ago when Nicole was crying because Dylan hadn't asked her to be Facebook official neither of them knew their journey would result in marriage (especially Dylan because he thought Nicole was a lot of work). At the end of high school, they decided to break up as they were going to college across the country from each other with Nicole in Oklahoma and Dylan in Georgia. The break-up lasted less than a month and for the rest of college Dylan and Nicole would fly back and forth to visit one another. Dylan would plan fun Atlanta outings for Nicole like going to the Georgia Aquarium, Coca-Cola museum, and Piedmont Park. Nicole would plan fun Stillwater activities for Dylan like killing cockroaches in her dorm, finishing her history paper, and taking her bunny to the park. When Nicole graduated in May of 2015 Dylan still had another semester at Georgia Tech so Nicole and her best friend Kimberly moved to Ireland. In one of the most beautiful countries on Earth Nicole cried almost every day missing home and especially missing Dylan (Kimberly can attest to Nicole being a lot of work). In the summer of 2016, Nicole and Dylan reunited in Colorado and finally put long-distance dating to rest. They have lived together downtown with their dog Rigby since 2018 navigating their way through challenges such as living in 700 square feet during a pandemic, Nicole going back to school for nursing, and worst of all Nicole's reluctance to shower while marathon training. In the last 13 years, Nicole and Dylan have grown up together, supported each other, and living the life they dreamed of at 16 years old. Their love and commitment to one another have been tested but one constant has always been present in their relationship, Nicole is a lot of work.
