U.S. travelers must have a valid passport to enter Mexico. An entry permit known as “the tourist card” is issued upon arrival by your airline and must be surrendered when you leave Mexico. Losing this small piece of paper can cost you up to $60, so be sure to keep it somewhere safe during your trip when you receive it.
6-8 weeks. For an additional cost, you can get it expedited in 2-3 weeks. Remember that passport processing begins when a passport agency receives your application, not the day you apply.
We recommend staying at any of the 5 hotels within the Iberostar Paraiso Complex as it is only an 8 min drive to the wedding venue. Please check our Travel tab for links to book.
Please book your hotel as soon as possible as these stays get booked quickly by many around the world. As mentioned in our Travel tab, Iberostar provides a “book now, pay at hotel, and free cancellation” option which helps secure your room while not having to pay right away or worry about cancellation fees if your plans change.
The wedding is on a Thursday 5/29/25. We highly suggest arriving no later than Wednesday the 28th. You are more than welcome to arrive earlier and the length of your trip is entirely up to you! :) Reminder: May 26, 2025 (Monday) is Memorial Day!
Cancun International Airpot (CUN)
Please start monitoring flight prices early on and purchase when you are comfortable. We recommend booking your flight 5-6 months in advance.
You can track prices through Google Flights. If you live by more than one airport, make sure you also check flights to Cancun from all airports near you to ensure the best price.
Once you have the details of your flights, we recommend booking private transportation in advance through the following websites/apps: Viator, Booking, Expedia, and Welcome Pickups. Please avoid using Uber and Taxi.
We are currently working out transportation to and from the wedding venue for our guests. We will be able to provide more details on this as we get closer to the wedding. Thank you!
Don’t drink tap water — the tap water in Mexico is contaminated, so avoid drinking it, and make sure you don’t swallow some while you take a shower. But don’t worry, the water served at your resort is purified. Water bottles are also highly recommended.
