We're Getting Married!

The awkward transition between middle school and high school is where it all began. Fourth period Spanish Class introduced Dylan and Malayna to when they were grouped together for a group project. They had mutual friends but never really interacted until the end of freshman year when Malayna joined the Athletic Training team. Dylan played football, part of the wrestling and track teams which now had added bonus of Malayna sideline's with the team. Dylan made occasional appearances to the athletic office because his "ankle hurt" and Malayna would help stretch and ice before practice. Finally, Dylan asked Malayna to be his girlfriend December of 2016, junior year. After just 6 months together and the day before junior prom, Malayna moved to Northern Virginia, now 698 miles from the man she was falling in love with. Without hesitation, Dylan's response to the news of Malayna moving was "we can make it through anything, and I promise to give you my all." After 2.5 years of long distance, phone calls home crying after work, countless road trips, flights back and forth, and "I miss you" texts, Dylan moved to Virginia to live with Malayna in 2019. Dylan then proposed at a Botanic Garden, Malayna said "YES!" July 13th, 2023. and the rest is history.
