Our story started in Frostburg, Maryland. We both attended school there and Dylan was in a fraternity at the time, while Lindsay was playing lacrosse. We always knew of each other but never really spoke. Dylan eventually joined the men’s lacrosse team at Frostburg. When he joined the lacrosse team and began hanging out with the team, that’s how we met and began hanging out. We began dating in April 2020, the heart of COVID and our junior year of college. We went from living together at the beach for a summer with my grandma (who adored Dylan), to Dylan visiting me at college after he graduated, to living together in PA first at Dylan’s parents, to then our first starter place. Finally after waiting so long and highly anticipating the day, Dylan told Lindsay that they were going for a family photo shoot at Allenberry. When they showed up, everyone else was running late and the photographer said why don’t we just start now until they get there. We began posing for some photos and the photographer said to turn around facing the opposite way. She then said to turn around to face each other and walk towards on another. As I turned around to face him, Dylan got down on one knee and asked me to spend the rest of my life with him. It was the greatest day of my life and the happy tears were flowing. Not only did we get engaged but Dylan planned a whole dinner and overnight stay at Allenberry Resort. AND a celebration brunch with family and friends the very next day.
