Harriman State Park
One of our favorite spots to escape to when we lived in Brooklyn. It is perfect if you are looking for a longer outdoor excursion! Harriman State Park is the second largest state park in New York. It features over 200 miles of hiking trails, numerous lakes and streams for fishing and swimming, and scenic overlooks with views of the surrounding mountains and forests.
Breakneck Ridge Trailhead
A challenging and beautiful hike along the Hudson Valley, Breakneck was one of our first date spots. It's an hour drive north of NYC and less than an hour from Warwick, NY. Enjoy a bite to eat before or after in nearby towns, Cold Spring or Beacon.
Storm King Art Center
On our to do list - Storm King is a 500-acre outdoor, large-scale sculpture museum. It's an hour north of NYC and half an hour from Warwick, NY.
Other Half Brewing Company
Laurel wouldn't be in the picture if it weren't for her adapting her palate to Other Half. If you happen to be in NYC or Brooklyn, be sure to check it out!
