FAQs

Question

Is there a dress code?

Answer

Yes. We ask that guests please wear cocktail attire for the ceremony and reception.

Question

Can I bring a date?

Answer

No, unless specified in your wedding invitation.

Question

Is there parking for the ceremony or reception?

Answer

Yes, there is ample free parking on-site. There is also paid, short-term parking, so please read signs carefully or speak to reception.

Question

Is transportation provided to and from wedding events?

Answer

The Ceremony and Reception will take place at the venue, meaning there will be no transportation provided if you wish to stay in other accommodations in surrounding areas.

Question

Do you have any hotel recommendations?

Answer

Stay at the Fairmont with us! If you wish to book your own accommodation outside the hotel, the region of Charlevoix has many other hotels, B&Bs and chalets for rent. Please note that the region is quite rural, and distance between accommodations may be long. Please plan accordingly!

Question

I have a food allergy, can I make a special request?

Answer

Yes, please indicate all food allergies when responding to your invitation.

Question

Do you have a Gift Registry?

Answer

No, we are gifted by your presence! There will be a contribution box at the Reception if you would like to contribute to our honeymoon fund. There will be no electronic options for cash gifts.

Question

Are kids welcome?

Answer

No, unless your invitation includes children.

Question

Can I get around speaking English?

Answer

Québec's official language is French, and it is the predominantly spoken language in the area. Although Fairmont employees are comfortable conversing in both languages, outside the hotel you may find that English is not commonly spoken. That said, Charlevoix is a tourism region full of friendly people, and they will make every effort to ensure you are understood!

Question

What is the best way to get to the hotel?

Answer

Check out the Travel section where we describe all the different travel options. If you aren't local, we recommend renting a car to get from the airport (or train station) in Québec City to the hotel (and take in the scenery on the way!).
