We met online because we are the newer generation and that is how people socialize nowadays. Our first date was at Texas Roadhouse where we shared life stories over their amazing rolls and butter. Our relationship persisted and thrived after the first date, leading to a relationship.
We decided to take a road trip to St Louis, Missouri to help our friend move into her new apartment. We also decided to do the one thing you do in St. Louis, view their humongous arch. We got to see the city through the smallest window in the arch and had a blast. Toward the end of the day, we sat in the grass under the arch admiring the architecture. Josh's legs started to get itchy from lying in the grass. So Josh decided to get up and walk around to avoid the feeling. However, Dylan had other plans brewing at that time. He convinced me to sit back down next to him to talk about the future of us. As the sun was setting, warm rays of sunshine hit our faces. Mustering up the courage, he decided to ask me out. I was thrilled and of course said yes!
Years later we needed a vacation desperately from working so hard. We wanted to go somewhere neither of us had ever been. We thought why not visit Europe? Off we went researching and making arrangements for our European getaway. We visited France, Spain, and the United Kingdom. Yes! At the end of each day our feet hurt, but it was all worth it. We landed in Paris where I had a surprise waiting for Dylan. Little did he know I booked a surprise photographer and had purchased an engagement ring. I just knew from the day under the arch our love would thrive. On April 19, 2023, very early in the morning, we went to a special bridge in Paris where people of the city place locks on the bridge to symbolize their love. On that bridge, I bent a knee to Dylan and asked for his hand in marriage. He gleamed with joy and giddy. He had said Yes!! Little did I know he was planning on asking for my hand in marriage as well. He had thought of the same idea of proposing in the city of love.
